Best voice cloning apps for iPhone

Updated ยท By Reno Labs, the makers of Riff

For narrating videos in your own voice on an iPhone, ElevenLabs is the most complete choice, though you make the clone on its website. Riff, which we make, does the whole job on the phone from about 25 seconds of your voice, in English or Spanish. Clony packs the most extras into one app, and Apple's built-in Personal Voice is free and private but is meant for personal communication, not content.

Disclosure. We make Riff. We've tried to rank it fairly. We placed Riff second because ElevenLabs does far more. Facts about other apps come from their US App Store listings, websites and Apple's support pages, read in October 2026.

Clone your own voice, or a voice whose owner has given you clear permission. Every app on this list says so in its listing, terms or help pages, and some go further. Riff's terms allow only your own voice. Apple says Personal Voice is for your own voice and for personal, non-commercial use. Don't use a clone to pass yourself off as someone else, and label AI-generated audio when you publish it.

How we chose

We searched the US App Store for voice cloning apps and kept the ones whose listing says they clone the user's own voice. We left out every app that advertises celebrity voices, pranks or cloning "anyone", whatever its rating. We ranked the rest by fit for one job: narrating short videos in your own voice on an iPhone. Ratings and prices are from the US App Store in October 2026. We did not test audio quality side by side, so we don't rank on how real each clone sounds.

1. ElevenLabs Most complete

ElevenLabs is a full voice platform with text to speech, dubbing, sound effects and a library of more than 17,000 voices. Its iPhone app, ElevenLabs: AI Voice Generator, is rated 4.8 from 22,842 ratings and says it can use voice clones made on the web. On the website, an instant clone takes about 10 seconds to 2 minutes of audio and starts on the $6-a-month Starter plan; a professional clone needs 30 minutes or more and starts on Creator at $22 a month (October 2026). Before you save an instant clone, ElevenLabs asks you to confirm you have the right and consent; professional clones add a voice verification step. It fits you if you want many languages and fine control, and don't mind setting up on a computer. elevenlabs.io

2. Riff Ours

Riff does one job, entirely on the iPhone. You tick "This is my own voice", read a short passage aloud for about 25 seconds, and Riff sends the recording to its AI voice-cloning engine to build your clone. Then you paste or write a script of up to 1,000 characters, edit it, choose English or Spanish narration, listen to each clip and share the audio. There are no preset voices: every voice in Riff is yours. Generated clips stay on your phone, and deleting a voice in Settings removes it from Riff's server.

Riff is free to download with three generated clips. The US App Store lists Riff Creator Weekly at $6.99 and Riff Creator Annual at $59.99 for unlimited voiceovers (October 2026). It is new and has no ratings yet. English and Spanish narration are verified. It fits you if you post short videos and want your own voice on them without learning a studio tool. See the Riff page.

Riff: about 25 seconds of your voice, then your scripts read back in it. English or Spanish. Three clips free.

Its listing says to clone only voices you own or have explicit permission to use, and bans impersonation and public-figure voices without consent. It is rated 4.5 from 2,723 ratings. It fits you if you want voice and video tricks in one app. App Store listing

4. AI Voice Clone: Text to Speech (Voiser) Clear AI labels

This app from Voiser clones a voice from about 15 seconds of recording, or from an audio or video file, then reads typed text with eight emotions and speed and pitch controls. It also translates into 16 languages and offers 38 preset voices. Its listing says cloning needs a subscription or a one-time purchase. In-app purchases include a $2.99 weekly plan with 10,000 characters, a one-time 10,000-character pack at $4.49, and a separate One Voice Clone purchase, also $4.49 (October 2026). Its listing says you confirm ownership or permission before each clone, that output is labeled as AI-generated, and that your sample goes to an outside AI voice provider. It is rated 4.1 from 137 ratings and is rated 17+. It fits you if you want generated audio labeled as AI and a consent check before every clone. App Store listing

5. VoClone: AI Voice Changer

VoClone lets you record or upload a sample to make a custom voice, then use it for text to speech. It also has preset voices, AI songs and covers. In-app purchases include credit packs from $2.99 and a weekly plan at $9.99 (October 2026). Its listing asks you to clone only your own voice or one you have permission to use, and not to impersonate anyone. It is rated 4.3 from 76 ratings. It fits you if you want cloning plus voice-changer effects. App Store listing

6. Apple Personal Voice Free, private

Personal Voice is built into iOS under Settings, then Accessibility, then Personal Voice. You read a series of sentences aloud and your iPhone creates a voice that sounds like you; Apple says the recording is processed on the device and stored encrypted. It works with Live Speech, which speaks what you type, and with apps you allow, such as augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) apps. Apple says it is for your own voice and for personal, non-commercial use, and that other apps can't capture its speech. Apple's pages list which iPhones and languages are supported. It fits you if you want a private copy of your voice for talking, not for publishing videos. support.apple.com
