How to propagate Peace Lily

Division

Difficulty: EasyTimeline: Immediate; the only reliable method (does not root from leaf cuttings).
  1. Unpot the plant and gently tease apart the root ball into crowns.
  2. Ensure each division has roots and a few leaves.
  3. Pot each section in fresh mix and keep moist while it settles.

Common Peace Lily problems & fixes

Drooping leaves

Usually thirst — water thoroughly and it perks up within hours. Chronic droop = root rot.

Brown leaf tips

Tap water chemicals or low humidity. Use filtered water and raise humidity.

No flowers

Too little light or needs feeding. Give brighter indirect light and a balanced fertilizer.
