Terms of Service — Day One

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Day One mobile application ("the App"), published by Reno Labs, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

The App is rated 17+ and is intended for adults who wish to reduce or quit nicotine use. You must be of the age of majority in your place of residence to purchase a subscription.

3. Not Medical Advice

Day One is a self-help tracking and motivation tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional care. Its withdrawal timeline and recovery visuals are based on general public-health information (including CDC and Mayo Clinic sources) and are for educational and motivational purposes only. Day One does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about quitting nicotine, withdrawal symptoms, or any medical condition. If you experience a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

4. The App and Your Content

The App lets you log and track your own progress. The data you enter is stored on your device (and, for your streak, in your private iCloud). You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. The App does not include public profiles, social feeds, or content shared with other users; any milestone card you choose to export and share is shared by you, through your own device and channels.

5. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

Day One offers an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks its premium features:

Withdrawal tier — $4.99 per week, with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
Reward drop: when you reach Day 30 nicotine-free, your subscription automatically moves to the Maintenance tier — $0.99 per month, for as long as you remain subscribed.

Prices are shown in the App in your local currency before you confirm and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

If you start a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the App Store: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store Terms of Sale. To request a refund, use Apple's "Report a Problem" page.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or attempt to circumvent the App's subscription or security mechanisms, and not to use the App in any unlawful manner.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, content, and trademarks are owned by Reno Labs and protected by applicable law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App for your own non-commercial use. Milestone cards you generate are yours to share.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in any particular health outcome.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reno Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes to the App and Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. When we change these Terms, we will update the "Effective date" above and post the revised version at this URL. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Reno Labs is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
